We are presently recruiting an experienced VAT Bookkeeper to work with our clients, a busy practice in Tralee, County Kerry. You will be proficient in managing Value Added Tax transactions and documentation. You will have experience using Xero and Hubdoc/Dext and will support the practice client base of mainly sole traders and Small businesses. This is a full-time position, based in Tralee, County Kerry.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with a portfolio of clients, requesting records, discussing deadline dates, client queries to include scheduling and management of workflows.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Supporting colleagues with VAT specific queries.
- Accurately record and reconcile VAT-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for VAT filings.
- Maintain organized documentation of VAT transactions for audits.
- Conduct regular reviews to identify and rectify any discrepancies in VAT records.
- Stay updated on changes in VAT laws and regulations.
Key experience:
- Proficient in Xero and Hubdoc/Dext.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience within a practice environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
