Our clients, a retail group in County Kerry are recruiting for a Management Accountant to support the financial management and performance of the business across multiple locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing commercial insights to support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced retail environment. This is an initial one year fixed term contract with the potential for permanent position later.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
- Analyse sales, margins, costs, and operational performance across retail locations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monitor financial controls and support process improvements
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
- Support VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance requirements
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors during year-end processes
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior managemen
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ATI)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong analytical and Excel skills with experience using accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in multiple locations.
