We are presently recruiting for a newly qualified / part qualified accountant for our clients, a food manufacturing company in County Kerry. You will track production costs, analyse variances, and support budgeting and forecasting and assist senior accountants in preparing prepare management accounts on a monthly basis. You’d work with operations to improve cost efficiency, ensure compliance with financial controls, and contribute insights that help shape strategic decisions and drive business performance. This is a permanent position which will offer the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real business challenges.
What you’ll do:
- Dive into cost analysis and budget management to help drive operational efficiency.
- Support project-focused financial planning and reporting, adding real value to decision-making.
- Help design and refine financial processes that keep us ahead.
- Partner closely with operations to monitor and control manufacturing costs.
- Prepare management accounts, variance analyses, and performance reports that inform strategic choices.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure we stay compliant with financial regulations and robust internal controls.
- Collaborate with teams across the business, making finance a trusted partner.
What we’re looking for:
- Newly or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Great communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage, but not essential — we’ll help you learn.
