Our Listowel, County Kerry clients are presently recruiting for a Toolmaker. Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker to work at the heart of a dynamic manufacturing operation, supporting production through precision tooling expertise. You will collaborate closely with the Production Department, ensuring injection moulds perform at optimal levels through both planned maintenance and responsive troubleshooting. This is a permanent, Full – time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, service, and maintain multi-cavity injection moulds within a fast-paced toolroom environment.
- Work in partnership with Production to carry out routine mould maintenance and resolve tooling issues as they arise.
- Diagnose faults efficiently, minimising downtime and ensuring consistent product quality.
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, including geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate and maintain precision toolroom equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and surface and cylindrical grinders.
- Uphold and promote safe working practices at all times, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Requirements:
- Time-served Toolmaker with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of prioritising workload in a busy environment.
- Strong teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to supporting both toolroom and production colleagues.
- Excellent planning, time management, and execution skills, with a clear focus on quality.
- Experience with CAD or similar systems is an advantage.
