We are currently recruiting a Toolroom Assistant for our clients in Listowel, County Kerry. You will join a busy high-volume injection moulding manufacturing facility. In this role, you will work closely with experienced toolmakers, assisting in the maintenance, cleaning, assembly, and preparation of injection mould tools. You will play a key part in ensuring the toolroom operates efficiently and that production tooling is always ready for use. This is a permanent, full time, early career position opportunity to become part of a skilled technical team supporting the smooth operation of production tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist toolmakers with maintenance, repair, cleaning, and preparation of injection mould tools.
- Support the assembly and disassembly of tooling components in line with production requirements.
- Handle and move tools and equipment safely within the toolroom and production areas.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company quality standards.
- Support toolroom operations to minimise downtime and ensure production continuity.
- Carry out basic documentation and record-keeping as required.
Requirements:
- Relevant Mechanical Qualification and experience.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical, hands-on approach.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous manufacturing or workshop experience is an advantage.
Salary is open to negotiation, based on experience along with Pension and Medical insurance.
