Our Listowel, County Kerry clients are presently recruiting for a Qualified Maintenance Electrician. You will be required to maintain and repair production machinery and ancillary equipment, ensuring efficient and continuous factory operations in a busy manufacturing environment. You will come with previous experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and preferably injection moulding or automated machinery and have the ability to troubleshoot all issues within the plant. This is a permanent, full time position
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime and production disruption.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programmes, updating schedules to improve reliability and optimise processes.
- Install, commission, and optimise new production equipment and machinery to meet operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and cost-effective upgrades.
- Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with administration to ensure timely ordering and availability.
- Provide technical support and basic training to production personnel to enhance equipment use and efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic working environment.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding equipment performance, issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician with 2 years’ experience
- strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to prioritise workload
