We are presently recruiting for a Credit Underwriter for our clients in Killarney, County Kerry. Working as part of a wider team, you will work on evaluating and analysising credit applications to determine a borrower’s creditworthiness. You will have strong IT skills and will be first point of contact for all client inquiries and loan applications. This is a full-time position, based in office in Killarney, County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Assess loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine borrower risk.
- Analyze income, debt, and financial data to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify potential risks associated with lending to an individual or business.
- Follow company policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with loan officers and clients to verify financial information.
- Recommend loan approvals, modifications, or rejections based on risk assessment.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare credit reports for decision-making.
Qualifications and experiences
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar position ( either administration, accounts, banking)
- Qualification in either Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Proficiency in Excel and other software
