We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager with a strong background in banking or regulated financial services to lead and strengthen our compliance framework for our clients in County Kerry. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) regulations and all relevant legislation. You will act as the primary contact with regulators and play a hands-on role in policy development, regulatory reporting, and compliance oversight. This position is expected to be designated as a Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF-12 – Head of Compliance) and PCF-52 – Head of Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF), subject to CBI approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the compliance framework, ensuring regulatory and internal alignment.
- Liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland, responding to inquiries and information requests.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures, including AML, CTF, CPC, and GDPR.
- Oversee the AML/CTF program, including risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with the Consumer Protection Code and promote a consumer-first culture.
- Prepare regulatory returns and reports accurately and on time.
- Monitor regulatory developments, provide guidance to management, and support audits and remediation.
- Deliver compliance training and advise on new processes or initiatives.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in compliance within banking or regulated financial services.
- Professional compliance qualification (e.g., LCOI, ACOI, ICA, ACAMS
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, CPC, regulatory reporting, and governance frameworks.
- Experience engaging with regulators, drafting policies, and translating regulations into practical solutions.
