Our client is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team in Tralee, County Kerry on an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for the organization’s employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and processing payroll accurately on weekly/monthly basis.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
- Verify hours, wages, and deductions to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees with professionalism and clarity.
- Support in preparing payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
- Assist with payroll tax filings and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support payroll reconciliation.
Qualifications and experiences:
- Prior experience in payroll processing or accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
