We are presently recruiting for an Audit Senior for our clients, an established practice in Tralee, County Kerry. A Senior Auditor Accountant leads financial audits, assesses risks, and develops audit plans. They supervise audit teams, review financial statements, and communicate findings to management and clients. Additionally, they stay updated on accounting standards, contribute to process improvement, and mentor junior staff members. This is a full-time position based in Tralee, County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans to address potential issues.
- Supervise audit teams, providing guidance and ensuring quality work.
- Review financial statements and internal controls for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
- Mentor and train junior auditors, fostering professional development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in auditing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership abilities.
