We are presently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Director for our clients in County Kerry. Working on one of the largest ever projects in County Kerry. As Project Director, you will oversee design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems in the new build plant, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing timelines, budgets, and teams, coordinating contractors, and integrating HVAC, piping, and cleanroom systems to support GMP production. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple mechanical contracts, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling of projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all projects meet client specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
- Support in preparing proposals and bids for new projects.
- Implement cost and value procedures and ensure that all necessary commercial reports are produced accurately and in a timely fashion to Senior Management
- Work closely with the Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, to identify any potential risks or issues and to find an appropriate resolution.
- Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors
Skills and Requirements:
- A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Director/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry.
- Experience managing mechanical package on Life Science or large-scale semi-conductor/Data Centre projects for an M&E contractor is essential
- Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Must be able to travel within Europe.
- A full driving license.
