We are looking for a Material Handler / Purchasing Engineer for our clients who are located near Killarney. The company in question are a specialist Engineering company and require someone to take responsibility for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within production facility and support the in-house engineers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, tracking stock movements, and making decisions about reordering. This is a full – time position located roughly 20 minutes from Killarney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Properly store materials in designated areas, ensuring accurate labeling and organization.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas to comply with safety standards.
- Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to fulfill production and shipping requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
