Red Chair Recruitment are seeking a motivated and technically competent Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering team in Macroom, County Cork. The role involves contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and public sector contracts. This is a full time, permanent, office based position with site visit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare civil and structural engineering designs including drainage systems (surface water, foul, and process), roadways, and site infrastructure.
- Produce detailed drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications.
- Assist with the design of foundations, substructures, structural frames, and building fit-outs.
- Carry out site inspections, surveys, and condition assessments.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Irish and European standards, regulations, and best practice.
- Support project delivery from concept design through construction and completion.
- Apply sustainable and efficient engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
- Strong technical, design and drafting software, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Full driving licence is essential.
- 2+ years experience
