We are presently recruiting for a BER Assessor for our clients in County Kerry. Working on various projects, you will be required to inspects buildings, collects data, and uses SEAI-approved software to calculate energy performance. You will provide advisory reports, recommend efficiency improvements, ensure compliance with regulations, and communicate findings clearly to homeowners. This is a permanent, Full – time position based in County Kerry.
Job Specification
- Conduct Building Energy Rating (BER) assessments in line with SEAI standards and building regulations.
- Carry out detailed on-site surveys of residential and commercial properties.
- Collect, verify, and input data into approved BER software tools.
- Analyse construction details, insulation, heating, ventilation, and renewable systems.
- Provide accurate BER certificates and advisory reports to clients.
- Recommend cost-effective measures to improve energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity in all assessments.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for quality audits.
- Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and homeowners.
- Keep updated on building regulations, energy standards, and SEAI guidelines.
- Participate in CPD and training to retain accreditation.
Qualifications & Skills
- SEAI-registered BER Assessor accreditation (domestic/non-domestic).
- Relevant qualification in engineering, architecture, surveying, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of building construction and energy systems.
- Proficient in IT and BER software tools.
- Full clean, driving licence.
