The Kerry brand is renowned worldwide. 2. Tourism Hub:
The tourism industry in Kerry is also recognised on a global scale with top international attractions such as the Lakes of Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. We are very proud of our ‘little’ vibrant county and the unspoilt landscaping that surrounds the countryside which makes Kerry a very special place. The area is full of history, heritage, activities, and world class hospitality. Of course we are biased but we don’t think that you will experience the breath-taking scenery that Kerry has to offer anywhere else, in order to confirm this all you need is to spend one weekend in Kerry and experience the beauty of The Killarney National Park, Lady’s View, The Conor Pass (Dingle) or a drive along the Ring of Kerry. Fortunately the tourism industry in Kerry is consistent throughout the year. Of course, there are periods in the year that are busier than others however for the most part it’s a pretty stable industry. This is a testament to the various hotels and restaurants around the county as well as the infrastructure put in place to assist the tourism industry. Hotels such as The Europe Hotel, The Gleneagle (Irish National Events Centre – INEC) and The Brehon Hotel are just a named few of many top class hotels located around the county. These state of the art facilities accompanied by the high quality transport systems that are put in place such as the Irish Rail systems, Bus Éireann and of course Kerry Airport all contribute heavily to this booming industry. (Side note: We need to give credit to Kerry Airport, not every county is luck enough to have their own airport and furthermore it’s possibly the easiest airport in the world to navigate and when travelling through the airport you’re almost guaranteed to avoid queues or delays.)
3. Expanding Markets
Kerry is constantly expanding within different market sectors. As mentioned above, Kerry has pretty much mastered the Tourism market, but the county is persistent when it comes to progression. Companies such as JRI America has established a a reputation for Kerry in the Financial Market. These are two large companies which operate on an international level. Kerry has a highly credible Manufacturing sector due to the success of companies such as Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd, Borg Warner & Kerry Group to name a few. Companies like Astellas which is based in Killorglin has allowed Kerry to branch out into the Pharmaceutical market.
