A well-established and reputable accountancy practice based in County Kerry is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Xero Specialist / Bookkeeper to join our clients growing team. You will come with proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Xero Specialist, ideally within an accountancy practice and will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various industries using Xero Software. This role offers flexibility with hybrid or fully remote working arrangements, provided the candidate is based in Ireland and willing to attend in-office training as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Revenue requirements
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
- Support year-end audit processes and liaise with accountants where necessary
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and best use of Xero features
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Xero Specialist, ideally within an accountancy practice
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (certification highly desirable)
- Solid understanding of Irish VAT and basic accounting principles
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines
- Willingness to attend initial and ongoing in-office training in County Kerry
