Red Chair Recruitment are seeking a Retail Assistant for a part time position in our farm supplies retailer in Killorglin. The ideal candidate should be well organised, a good communicator, have some computer skills and preferably a knowledge of farming. Training will be provided. They will handle day-to-day sales enquiries, process customer orders and quotations, and provide excellent service and support to our valued customers. This position may suit a person looking to get back to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming customer calls as the first point of contact.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Respond to quotes and sales enquiries accurately and promptly.
- Restock displays to ensure consistent product availability.
- Handle POS transactions (cash, card, credit).
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness.
- Follow cash and merchandise security procedures.
- Comply with all policies, health & safety procedures, and report hazards.
Requirements Include
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to use initiative and adapt when needed.
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
- Knowledge of the farming sector is an advantage.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
- Ability to lift and move stock.
