Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a part-time Relief Driver for our clients, a hardware and agriculture retailer in Louth. You will be providing relief to the team a couple of days a week transporting stock from the main site in Louth to clients across the country. This role is ideal for a professional driver looking for flexible work, with the opportunity to increase days over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company lorries in compliance with road traffic legislation
- Carry out deliveries and collections as scheduled
- Complete all required driving and delivery documentation accurately
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service
- Adhere to drivers’ hours regulations and company policies
Requirements
- 2+ years HGV driving experience
- Full Category C (Rigid) driving licence (essential)
- Driver CPC fully up to date (essential)
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Good working knowledge of Irish road networks
- Strong understanding of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay & Benefits
- €20 per hour
- €30 per day expenses
- €50 overnight allowance (where applicable)
- Opportunity to increase working days as business needs grow
