We are recruiting an Outsourcing Accountant for our clients, a leading practice that provides audit, accounting, taxation, corporate finance, and advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients in Tralee, County Kerry. You will be tasked with supporting the growth and development of the new Outsourced Accounting Department, interact with clients to assist in automation of financial transactions and processes. This is a permanent position with the option of a hybrid working week.
Skills, duties and responsibilities:
- Xero Setup and Support: Help clients get started with Xero, including setting up the chart of accounts, bank feeds, and user permissions.
- Cash Flow Management: Advise businesses on managing cash flow more effectively, using Xero’s reporting tools to forecast and manage liquidity.
- Creating Budgets: Assist clients in creating financial budgets based on historical data and future goals.
- Tracking Business Expenses: Track expenses by categorizing and reconciling purchases, receipts, and reimbursements.
- Tax Filing: Prepare and submit tax returns, like VAT/GST returns, ensuring the business is compliant with local tax regulations.
- Automation: Set up automation rules to categorize transactions or create recurring invoices, saving time for the business.
- Setting Up Bank Feeds: Integrate the software with the business’s bank accounts.
Package and person:
- 2+ years’ experience
- Qualified Accountant preferable but consideration will be given to an Accounting Technician with proven relevant experience and skill set
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Strong interest in accountancy software with an interest in automation and identifying areas for process improvement.
