Red Chair Recruitment are presently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer for our clients in County Cork. You will develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of heating products. Working with R&D, Production, and Quality teams, you will ensure efficient, high-quality production by improving processes, supporting new product introductions, maintaining safety and compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations. This is a permanent full time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
- Create and maintain Work Instructions, Procedures, and Process Documentation
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and manage external contractors
- Maintain and update Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues
- Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
- Promote Safety, conduct audits, and drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support ISO and other regulatory audit requirements
- Analyse Quality Data, manage Corrective Actions, and maintain Quality KPIs
- Handle Supplier Returns and host regular Quality Meetings
Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on manufacturing experience
- Sheet metal fabrication (turret, press brake, welding) and electrical assembly skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Excel
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Lean, 5S, ISO 9001, and ERP systems desirable
