We are looking for a Fresh Food Manager for one of our clients, a well-established grocery store committed to providing high-quality fresh food and excellent service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Fresh Food Manager to join our clients in County Mayo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the fresh food department, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of fresh food staff to achieve departmental sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary product knowledge, food safety, and customer service skills.
- Create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the fresh food department, including ordering, stocking, and displaying fresh food products.
- Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure freshness and quality of products.
- Implement merchandising standards and ensure the department is well-presented at all times.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, particularly in food handling and preparation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment for both staff and customers
- Conduct regular checks to ensure that all food safety standards are met.
- Prepare and manage the fresh food department budget, including sales targets, payroll, and expenses.
- Analyze sales figures and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a fresh food department within a grocery store.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
PACKAGE ON OFFER
- A competitive salary of €50,000 + Per Annum DOE
- An attractive bonus structure of circa €3,000
