We are presently recruiting for a Deli Manager for one of our clients, a well-established grocery store committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Deli Manager to join our clients in Mayo. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the deli department, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of deli staff to achieve departmental sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary product knowledge, food safety, and customer service skills.
- Create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the deli department, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure freshness, quality, and minimize waste.
- Implement merchandising standards and ensure the deli is well-presented at all times.
- Drive sales and profitability of the deli department by achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure that the deli provides an outstanding customer experience at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a deli or food service environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
