We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our client’s carpentry business in Kenmare, County Kerry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software, with a strong understanding of carpentry and woodworking principles. Responsibilities include creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for custom cabinetry, furniture, and other woodwork projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications. The role requires collaboration with craftsmen and project managers to translate ideas into precise technical drawings. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.
Responsibilities within the post:
- Document details, specifications, and instructions from meetings with Project Manager.
- Breakdown architectural drawings and produce project specific, practical design that meets building regulation and the client/architect’s requirements.
- Provide working drawings using “Woodwork for Inventor”.
- Handover of drawings to the manufacturer team.
The person:
- Relevant qualification in CAD, Carpentry or Engineering.
- 1+ years previous experience in a similar setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for working on bespoke one work.
