Our clients, a consulting engineering firm, are presently recruiting for a CAD Designer to support project teams by producing accurate, high-quality construction drawings for their Killarney, County Kerry office. You will prepare and revises technical drawings from engineer markups, maintains drafting standards, coordinates with multiple disciplines, manages CAD files, and supports project teams by delivering accurate, compliant drawings for planning, tender, and construction stages. This is a permanent position, based in Killarney and working mainly on Kerry based projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD required; Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroStation a plus).
- Develop drawings from engineer markups, sketches, and specifications.
- Maintain drafting standards, file organization, and drawing quality.
- Coordinate drawings with engineers and other disciplines.
- Assist with plan set assembly, revisions, and basic quantity takeoffs.
- Incorporate client and agency comments into project documents.
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in CAD, drafting, or engineering technology.
- 2+ years of CAD experience in an engineering or consulting environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong understanding of drafting standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
