We are presently recruiting for a Building Services Engineer for our clients in County Kerry. Working on a number of Sate contracts, you will be tasked with conducting site assessments, oversee installation processes, and provide ongoing support to ensure that building systems operate effectively and ultimately ensuring that the projects are safe, efficient and environmentally friendly. This is a full time position, based in County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sustainable building service systems to meet project specifications.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate building service systems seamlessly into construction projects.
- Specify and select appropriate Mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all design and installation processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks during construction to guarantee adherence to project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building service systems.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the entire construction process.
Qualifications and experiences:
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
- A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, Construction Management or a related field is essential.
- Full drivers’ license
- Strong understanding of Mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems Is essential.
