We are presently recruiting an experienced and Bar Manager for a busy 4-star hotel in Killarney, County Kerry. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue and maintaining high service standards. This is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Maintain 4-star service standards in line with hotel expectations
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Monitor beverage costs, margins, and revenue performance
- Create innovative cocktail menus and seasonal beverage offerings
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations
- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
- Coordinate with the Food & Beverage Manager and senior hotel management
- Plan and execute promotions, events, and private functions
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory bar role, preferably within a 4-star or luxury hotel
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail trends
- Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak tourism seasons
