We are presently recruiting for an Assistant Manager for our clients, a convenience store in Macroom, County Cork. You will be required to assist in managing and motivating sales associates, providing guidance and support to the manager and ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained, resolving customer issues efficiently. This is a full-time position based in Macroom, County Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and oversee store activities in their absence.
- Supervise and train staff members on customer service, product knowledge, and store procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stock rotation.
- Assist in merchandising and maintaining store appearance.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve targets.
- Support the Store Manager in administrative tasks such as scheduling and payroll.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and foster teamwork among staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or convenience store management preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
