Applegreen have announced 170 new jobs at its new Motorway Service Area (MSA) in Co. Kilkenny.
The petrol forecourt retailer will created the jobs at its development at Junction 7 on the M9 near Paulstown.
Seventy full-time posts will be created and come into effect by Applegreen once the service area is opened in January 2016.
A further 100 jobs have been created during the €7m construction.
Joe Barrett, Chief Operations Officer for Applegreen said: “I am delighted to announce this €7m investment incorporating the creation of 70 direct and 100 indirect jobs during the development and opening of our new Paulstown service area on the M9 at Junction 7. “The motorway network in Ireland has significantly improved in recent years, but there is still a shortage of service areas on key routes and we endeavour to improve this.”
