We are presently recruiting for a Retail / Trade Counter Person, for a hardware company in County Kerry. You will be required to sell all hardware supplies, such as plumbing and electrical supplies, power tools and hand tools, paints and varnishes and builder’s hardware products to a well-established clientele.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive sales in their department by advising customers on their buying needs and requirements
- Deliver excellent customer service by offering solutions assisting the customers through the buying journey
- Dealing with suppliers and ordering stock
- Operations of tills and cash management
- Merchandising new lines of stock, stock replenishment, stock counting, pricing POS,
- Maintaining a quality standard in your department by taking ownership of its functions
Candidate profile
- Must have previous experience in retail
- Strong knowledge of all hardware products, paints, construction products or Agri retail products
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport and driving customer retention
- Able to work Saturdays and be flexible in role
