Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to oversee our client’s operation of network authentication systems within production, staging and development environments. The ideal candidate would have experience in networking and the ability to develop strategies for successful implementation/ rollout/ disaster recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with network staff and software development team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
  • Design and deploy network solutions and enhancements to existing network deployments, software, and operating systems
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Propose and create Network design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide assistance to development teams
  • Maintain IPSEC VPNs in both data center and AWS environments
  • Ensure system connectivity, compatibility and interoperability for servers, shared software, and other applications
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports

Requirements:

  • CCNA/CCIE Certified
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Network Solutions
  • Understanding of Wireless Technologies, Controllers, Access Points, Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba
  • Proven experience with Security Appliances with knowledge of best practises in deployment of Cisco ASA, Juniper, etc
  • Experience in large scale networks, including routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP) as well as DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, and UDP
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems such as NAGIOS, Solar Winds, Zabbix, PRTG, SNMP
  • Knowledge of Linux / Networking / security technologies
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
