Red Chair Recruitment are presently recruiting a seeking an experienced Grab Reach Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate Liebherr grab machinery in our clients recycling and waste management operations plant in Limerick. The operator will play a key role in material handling, site efficiency, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate Liebherr grab machinery and associated plant safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and move waste, recyclables, and bulk materials across the site.
- Ensure accurate placement and handling of materials to support recycling and processing operations.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine checks on machinery to ensure safe operation.
- Perform basic maintenance and report faults or defects promptly.
- Follow all health & safety procedures, including site-specific protocols and permit-to-work systems.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring machinery is parked and secured correctly.
- Work collaboratively with site staff, supervisors, and other operators to maintain operational flow.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience operating Liebherr grab or similar material handling machinery.
- Valid operator certification or license for heavy plant machinery.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
