We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Killarney. You will be operating manufacturing machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production. You will also have Strong IT skills, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude are essential for success. The Machine Operator will have experience in a fast-paced production environment and the flexibility to adapt to evolving work priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Machinery: Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to run factory equipment efficiently.
- Monitor Performance: Track machine functionality, identify issues, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and consistency, promptly reporting any defects or concerns to supervisors.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Data Recording: Accurately record production data, including output levels, operational logs, and maintenance actions.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth production processes.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a machine operation or production role is preferred.
- IT Skills: Strong ability to input and maintain accurate production data using software systems.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision, ensuring machines operate efficiently and produce high-quality outputs.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills to manage equipment, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, handle multiple tasks, and work shifts as needed.
- Team Player: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cohesively within a team.
What We Offer:
- Initial contract position with guaranteed overtime.
- Starting salary of €13.80 per hour, with additional pay for overtime hours.
- Day shift schedule operating Monday to Thursday 7:45am to 4:15pm and Friday 7:45am to 3:15pm, with potential for shifts as needed.
