We are presently looking for an experienced Confectionary Baker for one of our well esteemed clients based in North Dublin. As a Confectionary Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and specialty desserts. This role ensures the highest quality standards in product preparation, presentation, and customer service within the bakery department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of confectionary items according to established recipes and standards.
- Mix ingredients, shape dough, and monitor baking times and temperatures.
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Ensure all baked goods are consistently produced to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks and adjust recipes as needed to maintain product consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure food safety and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Place orders for ingredients and manage stock to ensure continuous product availability.
- Minimise waste by utilising ingredients efficiently and implementing effective storage practices.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as a baker or confectioner, preferably in a retail or supermarket bakery setting.
- Proven expertise in baking and decorating a variety of confectionary items.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity in product presentation.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
