We are presently recruiting for a BMS Engineer for our clients in County Limerick. You will be responsible for installation and maintenance of building management systems. You will ensure efficient operation of HVAC, lighting, and security systems and troubleshoot issues, program control strategies, monitor system performance. This is a permanent, full-time position with travel nationwide required.
Responsibilities:
- Work on BMS Systems (Upgrades)
- BMS Systems (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
- Design, install, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS) for HVAC, lighting, and other building services.
- Develop and program control strategies for energy-efficient building operations.
- Assist in controls & automation designs for projects.
- Preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) and Detailed Design Specification (DDS) from the User Requirement Specification (URS)
- Develop, test and install high quality control software.
- Integrate BMS with other building systems, ensuring seamless communication between different protocols.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for existing BMS installations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to meet project specifications.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and regulations.
- Train end-users and facility managers on BMS operation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all BMS activities.
The person:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree In fields such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Have Control Systems Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control theory.
- Have BMS Software Proficiency: Experience with BMS software platforms like Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or Johnson Controls.
- Building Automation Protocols: Proficiency in industry protocols.
