Red Chair Recruitment is seeking a B2B Field Sales Representative for a well-established Dublin-headquartered distributor of hardware, tools, and industrial supplies. The successful hire will manage and grow sales throughout Leinster, working with independent hardware merchants and a wide range of trade customers such as contractors, engineering operations, and industrial workshops. This is an on-the-road sales role centred on relationship building, territory development, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Source and qualify new sales leads and convert them into active accounts
- Create proposals and handle commercial negotiations
- Win new trade and hardware sector business
- Develop strong, ongoing partnerships with retail and trade clients
- Meet and exceed regional revenue targets
- Nurture and grow existing customer portfolios
- Showcase products through on-site demos and meetings
- Ensure regular and planned territory visits
- Improve product presence and visibility in customer locations
- Deliver dependable after-sales and product support
- Work closely with operations teams on fulfilment and delivery
- Update CRM systems and maintain accurate sales records
- Gather and share competitor and market intelligence
- Participate in industry shows and customer-facing events
- Handle service issues with speed and professionalism
Requirements
- Demonstrated B2B field sales success in hardware, construction, or engineering sectors
- Working knowledge of CRM usage, pipeline control, and forecasting
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities
- Strong customer-first mindset with problem-solving capability
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating internally
