We are presently recruiting for an Assistant Manager for our clients, a convenience store in Ballincollig, County Cork. You will be required to assist in managing and motivating sales associates, providing guidance and support to the manager and ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained, resolving customer issues efficiently. This is a full-time position based in Ballincollig, County Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Oversee store activities in the absence of the Store Manager and provide leadership to staff members.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all store departments and address any operational issues as they arise.
- Supervise and train staff members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of performance.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to facilitate their growth and development.
- Assist in inventory control processes, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is available to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to place orders and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and clean store environment.
- Address any safety hazards or concerns promptly and take appropriate corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or convenience store management role preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results.
