We are currently recruiting for experienced Welders/Fabricators on behalf of our client, a leading provider of high-quality steel fabrication solutions. Based in County Louth, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing and innovative company serving the construction, engineering, and agricultural sectors.
The successful candidates will be responsible for performing precise MIG and TIG welding on aluminium and other materials, working from technical drawings to produce high-quality fabricated components. Duties will include the assembly, repair, and manufacturing of metal components to exact specifications, while ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards.This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures
- Weld using MIG, TIG, Stick/ARC, and Flux-core methods
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely
- Prepare materials (clean, cut, grind) before welding
- Inspect welds for alignment, accuracy, and quality
- Perform basic fabrication (fit, bend, assemble)
- Ensure weld strength and quality standards
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Follow health and safety rules, including PPE
- Report faults, shortages, and safety issues
- Complete required documentation and weld logs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC, Flux-core)
- Experience working with aluminium is essential
- Relevant welding or fabrication certification (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
