As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead a talented team across Ireland and the UK, with a strong focus on AWS cloud solutions. You will collaborate with Engineering, Support, and Product teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software across multiple platforms (Java and Node.js).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a distributed software engineering team.
- Act as the technical authority on AWS architecture and deployment, driving cloud adoption and best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, secure, and testable software for the Wi-Fi industry.
- Oversee sprint planning, task delegation, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Resolve technical issues, analyse risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure software quality standards are met and support production environments.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams, with strong AWS expertise.
- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, REST/SOA API development, web security, and modern web frameworks (Angular, React).
- Deep knowledge of design patterns, OOD, MVC, JEE technologies, and secure software practices.
- Experience in unit testing and cloud-native architecture on AWS.
