We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Legal Secretary on behalf of our client, a well-established legal practice in Tralee, County Kerry. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working in a legal setting, with proficiency in using expD8 case management software. This role requires excellent multitasking skills, along with the ability to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to legal executives and solicitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including court papers, contracts, and wills.
- Manage incoming phone calls and inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for the legal team.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry and document management using the in-house database.
- Coordinate court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of legal documents with the court.
- Transcribe and proofread legal documents with attention to detail.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal.
- Strong knowledge of legal documents, terminology, and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with litigation management software, ideally expD8.
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute with high accuracy.
Additional Information:
This is a maternity leave position for a duration of 9 months, with the potential for a permanent role upon completion of the contract. The salary is competitive and negotiable, based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications and in the region of €30 – €45,000.
