Red Chair Recruitment invites applications for an experienced Healthcare Assistant role on behalf of our client in Sneem, South Kerry. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide compassionate care to an elderly client with Parkinson’s Disease. This role involves weekend shifts (Friday to Monday), including both day and night shifts, with accommodation provided. Occasionally, you will accompany the family on trips to Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver empathetic care to an elderly client with Parkinson’s Disease.
- Assist with daily activities, ensuring the client’s comfort and well-being.
- Work closely with the client and their family to create a supportive environment.
- Travel to Dublin occasionally with the family.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: QQI/FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Assistant certification (essential).
- Experience: a minimum of 2 years experience as a Healthcare Assistant, preferably with elderly patients or those with Parkinson’s Disease.
- Flexibility: Availability for weekend shifts (Friday to Monday) and willingness to stay overnight as needed.
- Pet-Friendly: Comfortable with animals, as the household includes cats and dogs.
- Compliance: Garda Vetting and a full, clean driver’s license (essential)
Package:
- Salary: €35,000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications.
