Red Chair Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a warm, dependable, and experienced Childminder to care for three children in a welcoming family home in Killarney. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to play an important role in their day-to-day care, learning, and development.
The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where the children can thrive, combining fun, structure, and support throughout their daily routines. This is a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, offering long-term stability and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, attentive care to three children in their own home
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, and creative learning
- Support school runs, homework, and after-school activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for the children
- Communicate openly and regularly with parents regarding routines, development, and any concerns
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ childcare experience (professional or family-based)
- Full, clean driver’s licence and access to your own car
- A genuine passion for working with and caring for children
- Garda Vetting (or willingness to complete prior to starting)
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. QQI Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent)
