We are presently recruiting a Chemistry Laboratory Manager for our clients in County Kerry. You will hold 5 years’ experience and will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer to mentor, advise, and train all analysts and develop a team of innovative scientists and to ensure that ISO 17025 standards are met across compliance and impariaity. This is a full – time, permanent position based in County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Chemistry Laboratory
- Deliver excellent service to customers in accordance with INAB, ISO17025 standards and the management system
- Provide technical direction, support and advice in relation to Chemistry as particular area of analytical expertise
- Manage team workloads across multiple projects with competing priorities and resources.
- Develop, implement and monitor new projects
- Perform SOP review & write-up
- Plan & execute PT testing
- Conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation.
- Discussing test results with customer
Qualifications & experiences:
- A BSc /MSc in chemistry or other relevant disciplines is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a commercial laboratory.
- In dept knowledge of ISO 17025
