We are recruiting for an Architect for our clients in Charleville, County Cork. Working hybrid, You will be responsible for projects from initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction. Managing client relationships, developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, construction documents and managing project will all be your responsibility.
Responsibilities within post:
- Design and Planning: Create architectural designs and plans for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings, considering functionality, aesthetics, and safety.
- Project Management: Oversee construction projects, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Code Compliance: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, and incorporate them into the design process.
- Site Analysis: Assess potential building sites for suitability, taking into account environmental factors, topography, and infrastructure.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced software and technology for architectural modeling, drafting, and visualization.
- Material Selection: Specify construction materials and finishes based on durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Quality Control: Monitor construction progress to maintain design integrity and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
- Safety and Accessibility: Prioritize safety and accessibility features in designs to ensure buildings are safe and inclusive.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends, building materials, and sustainable design practices through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and experiences:
- Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Excellent technical drawing skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
Ideally, you will have 7+ years’ of experience either as an Architect or a Senior Technologist. Salary is based on qualifications and experience and in the region of €50 – €60,000 with the option of a hybrid working week. For further information, please email me directly at adrien@redchair.ie
