Our client seeks a skilled and motivated Solutions Architect to gather requirements and functional specifications, identify areas for improvement, and oversee development teams. The company offers customized tax administration solutions, including VAT, GST, and US sales tax, to international online retailers. They prioritize long-term relationships with clients and aim to help them achieve their objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about the client’s products and their features/limitations
- Help the product team define achievable and cost-effective business requirements
- Work with development teams to design appropriate solutions, identify gaps/risks, and answer questions
- Take ownership of technical solutions based on agreed-upon business requirements
- Resolve technical problems as they arise
- Research and propose changes to current/emerging technologies
- Assess the business impact of technical choices
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field
- Experience as a Solutions Architect/Analyst in API-driven projects
- Knowledge of high-level API design and architecture
- Able to propose, document, and present functional and non-functional API improvements/changes
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with product management and development teams
- Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
- Previous experience in a tax company or similar environment (preferred)
