We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Operative to join our client’s team in Killarney. As a General Operative, you will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to essential manufacturing, assembly, and production tasks. As part of the team, you will ensure products are correctly assembled, packaged, and shipped, all while adhering to the highest health and safety standards. This is a full time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Support: Assist in the efficient assembly, packaging, and preparation of products for shipment.
- Task Deadlines: Work to specific deadlines, ensuring daily production targets are consistently met.
- Documentation: Support the revision of work instructions, SOPs, and other essential documents as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot minor technical issues that may arise during production.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on machinery.
- Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Quality Assurance, to support special projects.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow processes accurately.
- A team-oriented mindset, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical aptitude, including basic mechanical skills, is an advantage.
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks as required.
Position Details
- Contract Type: Initial contract with option of becoming a full-time role.
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:45 am–4:15 pm; Friday 7:45 am–3:15 pm.
- Salary: €13.80 per hour.
