Mike O’Shea who we are supporting has arrived in Mauritania.
In his own words: So the last week has been interesting to say the least, some 15hr driving days, trying to check into hotels at 3am with armed security, got chased by an angry mob in Mauritania after asking could we take a photo, i felt like Pac-Man trying to manoeuvre a clear path through an over crowded city to escape in BETSY, and eventually found the Sleeping Camel accommodation in Bakoma, Mali, a little oasis of paradise in the madness of Africa, good food, cold beers and an impromptu performance from one of Mali’s most famous musicians who Dad is a Grammy award winner, time to delve back into real Africa, the frustration of trying to secure visa’s and crossing borders, and the real fun begins now for the next few weeks.
