Store Manager/Bicycle Mechanic

We are working with a leading and well established retailer based in the Kerry area, namely, you’ll be looking after outdoor equipment and bicycles, you will need to be hands on and not scared to get your hands dirty.

You will be the face of this business, with this is mind, it’s important that you have a strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with your customers and to have a comprehensive overview of your products and services available. You would ideally be coming from a background of working with bicycles/camping equipment to some extent and would be able to provide support, advice and maintenance to mentioned products.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Ensuring standards of exceptional Customer Service are consistently met by the team
  • Managing and motivating the team
  • Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
  • Analysing sales figures and reporting to head office and senior management
  • Analysing and Interpreting trends to facilitate planning
  • Dealing with various staffing issues including performance reviews and feedback sessions, as well as training and development
  • Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general
  • Organising and managing in-store promotions and events
  • Communicating with the team and your colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
  • Strong presence on the sales floor, displaying exemplary standards of performance, participating in teamwork and communicating with customers, and
  • Identifying or resolving urgent issues as they arise

What You Need: 

  • Experience working with Bicycles, fixing/servicing
  • Previous management experience
  • Previous retail experience
  • Great communication and people skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
  • Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
