Senior Financial Accountant

We are presently recruiting for a Senior Accountant for our clients in Dublin City Centre. The company in question is continuing to grow in the  Financial Services Sector.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the chief executive and will be responsible for managing all aspect of the Company’s financial performance, including preparation of management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements, updating Board monthly, financial planning, budgeting and managing the yearend audit process. Role also incorporates the management of an assistant and liaising with the trade manager.


  • Month End Responsibility – responsibility for preparing monthly FS for group companies and present to senior management
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Analytical Review on Income Statement and Balance Sheet and Cash flow movements
  • Manage and assist with cash flow projections with the Group Financial Controller for group companies
  • Statutory Reporting – manage audit process for group companies including the following duties:
  • Year over year analytical review
  • Manage relationship with external audit parties
  • Resolve any technical audit queries arising
  • Reflect all audit adjustments on accounting package and close out year-end systematically
  • Maintenance of fixed assets and leasing registers for group companies
  • Maintain and manage intercompany accounts with group companies
  • Project profitability analysis
  • Determine development profitability for development projects within the group
  • Review and assess intercompany transfer pricing in terms of profitability with the group companies
  • Determine operational metrics and review profitability of business units within the group companies

Experience and Qualifications and salary

  • ACA / ACCA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ PQE working in a similar role
  • Strong analytical ability with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional Communication and IT Skills are essential
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Salary is open to negotiation, depending on experiences and qualifications
