We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our showroom team in Newcastle West. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, providing expert advice, and helping them find the right products for their building or renovation projects.
As the first point of contact, you’ll welcome customers into the showroom, understand their needs, recommend suitable solutions, and guide them through the buying process from initial enquiry to sale. You’ll also work closely with the installation team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the showroom and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Understand customers’ building and renovation requirements.
- Recommend products and solutions that best suit their needs.
- Provide consultative sales advice and product knowledge.
- Prepare quotations and close sales.
- Liaise with the installation team to ensure a smooth handover of customer orders.
- Follow up on customer enquiries and quotations.
- Maintain an attractive, clean, and well-presented showroom.
- Keep product displays organised and up to date.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
About You
- 2+ years previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, or a customer-facing sales role.
- Experience within the construction, home improvement, interiors, flooring, tiles, bathrooms, or building materials industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Strong consultative selling and customer service skills.
- Confidence in identifying customer needs and recommending suitable solutions.
