Project Engineer

Salary: £50 - £60,000 Location: London Experience: 3+ years Job no: AKLDN2307Job Status: Full-Time

We are recruiting for a Project Engineer for our clients in North West London.  Our clients work directly with Thames Water and require someone to effectively work on the the design, procurement, sub-contract packages of work specifically in Water plants. This is a full time position, based out of North London.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental protection
  • Coordination design, procurement, sub-contract packages of work and handover process
  • Ensure that day to day operations are proceeding
  • Attendance at the monthly Progress Meetings
  • Awareness of the project scope and monitoring deviation from this scope.
  • Advise the Project Manager as scope change occurs or is likely to occur
  • Ensure procurement is progressed in line with the project schedule;
  • Ensure supply chain value is maximised through a competitive tendering process
  • Maintain an overview  of all technical aspects of the project
  • Maintain close contact with the design and commissioning teams
  • Continuous coordination of project support staff
  • Report to the Project and Contracts Manager both on an informal ad-hoc basis

 Experience/Qualifications:

  • At least five years in a Project Engineer role in the UK Water Industry, preferably with a Tier 1 contractor
  • A mechanical or electrical based academic qualification
  • CSCS Card and EUSR Water Hygiene card

This position is based in North West London and can also offer an Immediate start. Salary in the region of £50 – £60,000 is offered. For further information, please email me directly
