We are presently recruiting for a Payroll Manager for our clients in County Kerry. You will be responsible for leading payroll operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in all payroll processes for the company. This is a full-time position, hybrid working week, 3 days based in office Tralee, County Kerry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing for three entities across Ireland and the UK.
- Ensure payroll data integrity, including new hires, leavers, tax changes, and other employee updates, with appropriate approvals in place.
- Oversee all aspects of payroll administration, including BIK, pensions, statutory and voluntary deductions, and employee benefits.
- Calculate variable pay elements such as overtime, bonuses, holiday pay, sick pay, and maternity pay.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, including timesheet and payroll record variances.
- Prepare and post payroll journals and maintain payroll reconciliations in Excel.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate payroll cost allocation and coding.
- Manage statutory reporting and submissions to Revenue/HMRC and pension providers.
- Maintain and enhance payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal controls.
- Serve as primary contact for payroll queries, ensuring timely resolution and audit-ready documentation.
- Lead payroll audits, year-end processes, and system rollovers.
- Support payroll system enhancements.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ payroll experience in a senior or lead role.
- Experience managing multi-jurisdictional payrolls is essential.
- IPASS payroll qualification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, processes, and compliance requirements.
